Lady Belle’s BBQ Sauce

Lady Belle’s is a local BBQ sauce, manufactured in Pittsburgh, PA. I worked with the client to help bring Lady Belle to life from a seed of an idea. The challenge was to create a southern belle to represent the brand, who was just as sweet as she was spicy— much like the flavor profile of the sauce.

I drew inspiration from vintage pinups for a hand-drawn, yet realistic feel. The labels were printed on a metallic substrate, with portions of the ink backed in white and a matte varnish, creating a high-end look that was still affordable for a small batch of labels. Deliverables include a logo and package design. A limited edition, all american label was also produced to accompany the launch of the product in Spring/Summer 2018.
